LAND of the MUNCHKINS : Yamaha DV-S5950 DVD player (Upconverting)

Pros: clear picture, manual, adjustment menu, lots of features, WMA
Cons: remote small, hard to figure out, expensive
The Bottom Line: We are still sizing each other up, but once I compare this unit with others, I imagine I will find that it is cream of the crop.

Spend a little more - on another brand!

Pros: Picture (when it works), Sound (when it works)
Cons: Intermittent problems within 6 months of purchase, delay time to open tray
The Bottom Line: Keep looking at other upconvert players - this one is unreliable.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I used to think that Yamaha could do no wrong. I have a Yamaha Natural Sound tape deck from 1983 that works as good today as it did then. I had a Yamaha receiver in the 90's that was unstoppable.
