Is Shadow of the Colossus the Best Game of 2005?

Pros: innovative concept, truly grand sense of scale and epic battle proportion, nice graphics
Cons: Slow at times, not quite as good as the hype surrounding it
The Bottom Line: No, it doesn't quite live up to the hype, and it's not an instant Best Of 2005. But it's imaginative and great fun, with a $40 price tag.

Pros: Simple but not simplistic. A unique, mesmerizing experience.
Cons: Some graphical sputtering and limited replay value.
The Bottom Line: Despite some flaws, Shadow of the Colossus is an artistic masterpiece that everyone should play.
