The Noise Canceling circuit actually senses outside noise with built-in microphones and sends an equal-but-opposite canceling signal to the headphones. A sound economic proposal - or an economic sound proposal

Pros: Substantial noise cancellation; inexpensive; reasonably compact
Cons: At this price point, none.
The Bottom Line: Sony vs. Bose... 90% of the benefit at 10% of the cost.

First class headphones for second class passengers

Pros: They reduce airplane cabin noise and sound good as well.
Cons: None of any significance
The Bottom Line: Before you run out and spend $300 on a really expensive headphone, try these.
