Pros: Small, easy to use, good picture, cheap, available all over the place
Cons: Cheap feel, no optical out
The Bottom Line: A good little DVD player that should be more than sufficient for first time users or those that don't require the top of the line.

Pros: Easy to connect/set up, inexpensive, works with most TV brands
Cons: It's not really HD ready....and it has a few issues with playback.
The Bottom Line: While it's not as bad as a cheap player, the Sony DVP-NS57P is all right but not earthshakingly so. Best used as a secondary player on a standard TV.

Well, maybe I could be doing a better job of supporting that phrase, which is often uttered by Mrs. Saxguy. On the other hand, she is retired due to disability and so I try to provide things that she enjoys and/or make her life easier.
