Good player, questionable recorder.

Pros: Easy set up.
Good audio and video reproduction.

Cons: Timer Link recording feature does NOT work well.
Too long to start up.

Review: The size is compact for a VCR/DVD Player Recorder and the set up is easy. But be aware that this model is turnerless and the Timer Link recording feature is seriously flawed.

Excellent DVD VHS recorder with digital tuner

Pros: Up to 12 hours or HDTV recording capability via DVD and VHS decks. Under $200.

Cons: Software bug(s) may require unplugging power cord to restore functionality.

The Bottom Line: Best value I've found in a DVD recorder with diugital tuner that can record for than 6 hours of shows.

Review: The switch from ananlog to digital & HD TV channels sent me searching for ne ways to record favorite shows. Both my LG 787 and samsung AR650 do a nice job but limit me to maximum of 6hrs on 1 blank DVD.

Review: With this JVC DVD/VCR combo, I can watch any type of film I want. This makes it convenient so I don't have to watch DVDs and VCRs on a seperate machine. Works good and stays true to its description. Good brand.
