Small and lightweight, these headphones work well out of portable gear. Don't expect the great sound that you get from the better Beyers; that isn't included. Compared to the good headphones in this price range and application, the 131 sounds rather muddy and dead. The bass is shallow and the mids are not well defined. Not terrible, but your money would be better spent on the Sennheiser HD497 or Grado SR60 headphones. The DT 131 have supraaural earcups with cloth covering and a self-adjusting headband for moderate all-around comfort. Even Thomas Edison made a few clunkers...

Pros: Good highs, one sided cord

Cons: horrible base, bad mids, not very portable

The Bottom Line: I really can't think of a reason why you'd purchase these considering that there are headphones which are better then these, in every way, in this price range.

Pros: amazing clarity from 40mm Grado drivers with UHPLC copper wire

Cons: inferior to the SR60s and SR80s but probably because of the housing

The Bottom Line: If you want something sporty - and great - these are a great value for the price.

I Love These I-Grados (White Color)...

Pros: Good sound,small, perfect ipod value companion.

Cons: Cheap build,short cable,1/8 connector only, not the most comfortable for long periods.

The Bottom Line: Small, Light, and a Very Good Listen for the Low bucks, the IGrados nail it perfectly for Ipod/mp3 fans out there.
