Love my washer and the way Whirlpool stand behind it

I have had my washer for a year and a half. I just bought the matching dryer at Christmas last year. I love this set. I can fit my King sized comforter with no problems and all my loads dry in 30 minutes with the combo of washer and dryer. You can use regular detergent, just use 1/2 you usually do.
I had my first problem this month. I got an F1 error which is a service tech needed. Problem was my control panel fried and of course was out of warranty by 6 months. I had no extended plan. I called Whirlpool and they are sending me a new control panel "2 day shipping" and covering the cost of the panel and the labor to put it in. They were not responsible for any of it but they are covering every dime. When I asked why they stated that some machines bought that long ago had problems with the control panel and so they want to stand behind their product. The panel I am getting is a completely different model number and from what I understand is the new model they are putting in the washers now. I also bought while I had her on the phone a 3 year service contract that will cover "everything but scratches" and it was only 150.00. The panel and labor was going to cost almost 500.00 if they hadn't covered it.
I will buy Whirlpool again for their customer service.
