Everything Has A Purpose

As the title says, everything has a purpose. These Zalman headphones are a perfect example. With 3 speakers in each side these headphones look huge and ugly in a way. If you want audiophile headphones in 5.1, do not buy these. These are may be a pc enthusiast company for the gamer. There are many other headphones that will give you a better 5.1 experience with a similar setup or just 5.1 emulation. The design of these headphones also leads to issues with music... because of the closeness of the speakers and the cabin design resonant bleedover will occur thus dramatically lowering the quality of the music. This can be remedied with cotton or some other sort of speaker cab filler but I have never felt the need to go that far... and doing so brings the sound stage too close and I like the more live sound. If you want to watch a dvd or play a game with surround sound... BUY THESE HEADPHONES. They are especially good for me as I dont wish to disturb others in the household. I have worn them for hours and they are comfortable. These also are a good substitute if you just dont have the room for a 5.1 setup or the money for a good one.
