Great for Nursing!
Date of Review: Apr 26, 2006
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone willing to spend time learning to wrap. It's versatile, can be used into toddlerhood, requires time learning the craft of wrapping (it's fun!)
I have this wrap (in addition to about 6 other baby carriers) and I really like it. I bought it when my son was about 2 months and found the cradle hold really great for nursing. Now that he is 1 yr, it is still comfortable to wear with him on my back (he's about 20lbs). I bought this wrap because I had another wrap that was stretchy and he became too heavy for a stretchy wrap and I couldn't wear him on my back with the other wrap. It was a little difficult to learn to wear him on my back (a great resource is the Tummy 2 Tummy DVD), but once I got the hang of it, it was great. It is very comfortable, but you need to be careful about pressure points and pulling the wrap tight throughout the wrapping process, not just at the end. The only thing I didn't like about it it the length, but really, that can't be helped. Also, it will fit easily in a diaper bag and you can use it as a blanket or burp cloth or nursing cover up in a pinch. Another great resource if you buy a wrap is www.thebabywearer.com where you can find great instructions and support with wraps and all types of slings.
