A Compact Powerhouse

I was looking for a portable dishwasher since my apartment doesn't have one. The Whirlpool Portable DP840SWSX Dishwasher caught my eye while looking at different websites.

This little machine is as compact as it can be, but works just as well as any full-sized built-in I've ever used. It was easy to install, easy to load, and easy to operate. The instructions are thorough, well-written, and have excellent graphics. It has some substantial weight to it, but it is very easy to maneuver and move around on its casters.

I bought this machine due to its compact design, and the Whirlpool name. I couldn't find any product reviews on this particular product, but I know that Whirlpool has a solid reputation in appliances, and this one is no exception.

It does a great job of cleaning, without any pre-rinsing. Even dried-on food and residue came off, and the dishes came out sparkling clean.

It operates fairly quietly, considering it's not built-in. My kitchen and living room are right next to each other with no wall between, and I was able to watch TV while it ran with only a slight increase on the TV volume.

I love the design and ease of installation and use, and also how well it cleans! It met all of my expectations.

There isn't anything that I "hate" about this machine. It's a great dishwasher and a great value.
