If You Hate to Cook Buy This Cook Top

Pros: It looks great.

Cons: Terrible temperature control and horrible cleaning.

The Bottom Line: Glass cook tops, especially this one, will put you on anti-depressants. In addition to the temperature and cleaning problems we have already had to replace an entire switch assembly.

I tell anyone who will listen that if they hate to cook, buy this cook top because you will NEVER want to cook again. If you love to cook DO NOT BUY THIS COOK TOP because you will never want to cook again. It has horrible temperature control and will consume all your free time when it comes to cleaning. DO NOT BUY ANY GLASS COOK TOP. We purchased this top because we knew it would look wonderful in our kitchen and it does but I hate it.
We spend more time trying to clean the glass on this cook top than we do cooking and I love to cook. We have to keep a razor-blade in the cupboard in case there is even the smallest amount of spillage from a pan or pot. Then we have to scrape and scrape to clean the surface. We have only had the cook top two years and I have already had to replace a complete switch assembly. As I said if you love cooking DO NOT buy this cook top. A single smooth push of a pan or pot or fancy toss of a meal and the surface will scratch and the cleaning will drive you batty. Good luck and good cooking.
