Just Like The Barber Used...
Pros:
Dependable, precise, immortal! Good value!
Cons:
Wahl doesn't make cars, TVs, or other stuff.
The Bottom Line:
Highly recommended. This clipper model is built like a tank but handles like a dream, and cuts clean. Good accessories.

Author's Review
Background
I have had this Wahl Hair clipper for close to 10 years now!
I don 't remember where I bought it, or how much I paid, but it was worth it.
I use it for keeping my head clippered down to a "5 0'Clock Shadow" and also to trim by beard. I have, upon occasion, trimmed or touched up my son's hair with it. My daughter has also shaved a few Barbies(r) with it.
It cuts fine to course hair equally well. The clipper head is comfortable when pulling it across your skin without any of the guides attached - like you would if shaving your head down, or removing a beard. No cuts, scratches or nicks.
SO - it gets used at least every other day. That's been a lot of clippering.....
What You Get
It appears the contents of the kit have not changed over the years:
(1) Corded clipper with lever-adjustable blade (adjusts from 1/8" down to stubble).
Snap-on guides that allow cutting to the following lengths:
1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1". Note: These lengths are achieved by running the clipper through the hair AGAINST the direction of growth. If you cut with the direction of growth, the clipper will remove less length.
Cleaning brush, barber's brush, barber's comb, styling comb, pocket comb, barber's scissors (pretty nice, too), clipper oil (you got to keep a little oil on the blades - I think that's why mine has lasted - but just a LITTLE).
All of this came in a vinyl-covered, heavy pasteboard case.
It came with a 5 year warranty, and an instruction booklet.
How It Performs
When you first cut it on, it gives that "pop" sound and then the hum, reminiscent of visits to the barber shop, "back in the day". I haven't yet needed to sharpen the blade. It still cuts clean and quick, and I have not had it pull any hair. It balances well in the hand and the blade adjustment lever is smooth and well-placed, allowing adjustment "on the fly".
Cleaning the clipper is easy. Remove a couple of screws from the back of the clipper head and that releases the blade. Brush out any hair from the clipper blade cavity and brush off of the blade itself, put it back together and your ready to cut some more. I do this about one a month.
The clipper's attachments lock firmly and securely onto the clipper head and are well-made. The molded plastic pieces are finished nicely and don't have any flashing (that little flange of plastic left over along the seam, where the plastic was molded) left on that would snag hair.
These are the industry-standard lengths and replacements are available at any barber/beauty supply store or directly from Wahl.
The other accessories are fine, what you would expect. The scissors are a little nicer than expected, though.
What's Irresistible About It?
It is immortal. It works the same way, every time, all the time. It feels good and balanced in your hand, and will cut hair like there is no tomorrow.
What's Less-Than-Irresistible?
To date, I really can't find anything wrong with this thing. I wish more stuff was made this well.
