Vivitar ViviCam 3315 Digital Camera - Good Camera For A Little Money

Date of Review:  Jan 19, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a good quality, low cost camera, this might be just what you are looking for.
Review: I bought my Vivitar ViviCam 3315 Digital Camera because I needed an inexpensive digital camera for work. I needed something small, but I also needed to be able to take fairly good quality pictures.

A professional photographer who was in...

What an utter POS

Date of Review:  Apr 20, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you can get one that works, I have nothing but kudos for you. I, however, have better things to do with my time than run around exchanging broken cameras.
Review: If there's one thing I dislike more than a bad piece of electronics, it's a piece of hardware that works beautifully for a little while, then breaks in a way that makes it less than usable.

Case in point would be my Vivitar 3315.

First Impression

Date of Review:  Dec 13, 2002
The Bottom Line: Nice inexpensive camera for a beginner. If some simple features and the 1Mega Pixel are enough, this is a great buy.
Review: OK, so I went wrong with the Argus DC3200. I bought the Vivitar from CVS' web site via a special offer. Received it by mail within a couple of days. The initial impression is good - the camera comes well packed and is inside a small bag that looks...

This is the crappiest camera. EVER.

Date of Review:  Jul 19, 2006
The Bottom Line: Avoid this product at all costs.
Review: Okay, let's start with how SUCKY this camera is. I've had it for two years and couldn't be more miserable with this thing. My friends make FUN of me for it. "Oh, we have to use THAT thing?!"

It can't take a good picture for crap. I went on...

JUST TAKE THE PICTURE!! But I cannot.........

Date of Review:  Jan 7, 2005
Review: After buying this camera, I was disappointed to see that it was hard to focus the LCD screen. It goes through batteries so fast that when you travel, you need to carry around about six (three changes) for an outing for a few hours. Another thing is,...

Highly priced for a poorly powered Camera

Date of Review:  Jun 2, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you plan on purchasing this, make sure you purchase the AC adapter and considering its battery life, plan on being disappointed during trips.
Review: You might find this camera useful, but don't let its quality drain the facts from you -- and I mean that literally. It is one of the best (if not the best) cameras to have when it comes to high impact quality images that captures in the light of...

Good overall, but lacks a lens cap

Date of Review:  Jan 15, 2003
The Bottom Line: Why have a camera that is easy to grab & take along if you know it is likely that some small bump will ruin the lens and therefore the camera?
Review: I had been looking at digital cameras and bought this as an impulse without examining it closely at the store. Once I had opened it and examined it, I discovered that it lacked any sort of lens cap. I babied it for a week or two to see how it worked...

Eats batteries

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: Spend more on a better cam with 4 batteries. You'll spend it batteries instead. No value here when the cam is sub $100,but needs new batts every 15 shots!!
Review: I needed an inexpensive digital cam for work.
Most cams at Walmart are in the $120-$200 range.
This one was at a price I was willing to pay.
But it has its short comings.
I find it annoying to keep changing batteries because the...

Very nice little camera

Date of Review:  Apr 29, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you are a beginner looking for a decent camera at a reasonable price, this is a good camera.
Review: I've been using it for a while, I carry it around with me to take pictures of things we do at work, it has fallen a few times and it still works great. Without the memory card it takes very few pictures but other than that I think that it's right...

Little to recommend, better available for not much more $

Date of Review:  May 2, 2003
The Bottom Line: For $30 more get the vastly superior Vivitar 3625 for the wider and closer focus range, more megapixels, lens cover, manual controls and picture taking clicks.
Review: I bought the Vivitar 3315 for $98.62 at Wal-mart. I have since returned it and replaced it for with the Vivitar 2.1 MP 3625 for $132.73. The picture quality was too blurry from the 3315 - even when using a Tripod from 29 inches away. Turns out the...
