Product Review

Not for professional use

by   sacredmoon81 ,   Jun 10, 2005

Pros:  Durable... One touch commands... compact

Cons:  Software installation is a pain, Color/Contrast Quality, warm up time

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

This scanner works well, not great, but will do for occassional use. I use our scanner for pictures that I don't have negatives to just so I can put them on cd. It does work well for that, even though the picture quality may not be completely perfect. You can always go back and adjust the contrast some, which helps, if you have photo software.

The downside to this is the quality of the pictures, the color/contrast is off a little and the software is a pain to install. Also, it takes a minute or two to warm up, but the one touch overall is nice. For the price, you get what you pay for. What we use it for, it works well enough. If you are just using it once in a while for home use, then this will probably do the trick for you. For professional use or high quality scanning, I would have to say pass.
