Gathering dust...

We got this as a gift because I wanted a pizzelle maker. I oiled the plates and preheated, but our first pizelles stuck and baker didn't want to open. We let them over bake and then let everything cool down. We still had to pry the sections apart. Even though we were very gentle, the plastic plate on the bottom cracked on the right side at the screw.

I called Villaware and they sent out a replacement part right away. When we went to put in the replacement section, the part cracked again -- even though we were very, very gentle and careful not to over tighten the screw. Our InterBake3 is now gathering dust. We didn't call them back. Maybe we'll see if there's a heat safe glue that we can use. Then we'll have two plastic handle plates??? Villaware was really nice, but this is probably a part that shouldn't be plastic.

Never got to try out the other plates that came with the InterBake. I don't think ours is an unusual experience? Sorry to report such a bad experience. We have other Villaware products and have no complaints.
