Who can resist such silliness?

If you're not familiar with Big Idea Productions' VeggieTales series, you may not know that each episode includes a brief musical interlude in the form of "Silly Songs with Larry" -- Larry the Cucumber, that is.

In "The End of Silliness?" we find a despondent Larry at Jimmy Gourd's ice cream parlor. Archibald Asparagus has cancelled future "Silly Songs" and Larry is sure there will never, ever be any more silliness. Archibald has hired Mr. Lunt in Larry's place, so Larry's out of a job. (Mr. Lunt is no Larry, but his song, "His Cheeseburger," is one of my personal favorites.)

Poor Larry! Jimmy Gourd tries to cheer him up, to no avail. Along the way, we're treated to favorite Silly Songs of the past. Will Larry ever get his job back, or is this the END of silliness?! A mysterious trench coat-clad asparagus shows up with an answer....

"The End of Silliness?" is the second collection of Larry's Silly Songs, complete with lyrics on the screen so silly afficianados may sing along to "The Song of the Cebu," "The Thankfulness Song," "Keep Walking!", "The StuffMart Rap," and others.

This video is pure fun. My daughters range in age from 6-10, and they all enjoy it. I highly recommend "The End of Silliness?" to someone who's never seen a VeggieTales episode before--it's a great overview and introduction to the wholesome, entertaining series.
