Really great sound for the $$
Pros:
Great value; rich sound, no outside noise interference; custom fit ear fittings
Cons:
Bass can be a little strong
The Bottom Line:
Great upgrade from basic headphones included with your ipod or MP3 player. After all, it's all about the sound.

I did a lot of online research on headphones before deciding to try the V-Moda Bass Freq, and I am quite happy with my choice. For the price (I found them online for $39.95 w/free shipping)I don't think I could've asked for better performing earbud headphones. As the name implies, the bass is strong, but I adjusted the EQ on my ipod 'til I found the sound to my liking. The buds fit my ears perfectly and they stay put (they come with 3 different sizes of silicone fittings)...such a relief after suffering for almost 3 years with the original ipod headphones, which were downright painful after a few minutes and allowed outside noise. These fit snugly so that all you hear is your music. I used them tonight at the gym, and I ran a lot further on the treadmill because it was like hearing some of my "fire up" songs for the first time! I was totally re-energized!
I'm not an expert by any means, and I know there are better headphones out there, but I love all kinds of music from jazz to hip hop to rock to techno, and I highly recommend the V-Moda Bass Freq to anyone who wants great sound, no outside noise interference, and a good value. Get rid of the cheap set that came with your ipod and step up...I wish I had done that long ago.
