I love the Toyota Camry This is my 4th previous cars were 1983,1989&1998 models .Here in the Uk this car is very rare .I purchased mine 6 months ago and Ive yet to see another one the road. They stopped selling the Camry here in 2004.I read somewhere they only sold about 500 a year! My car is the Camry 2.4 Auto CDX with leather seats, electric sunroof, wing mirrors, seats also cruise control, ABS, 16 inch Alloy wheels etc probably equivalent to the USA XLE,new it would cost about £23,500. I got mine with 22,000 miles on the clock for £10,900 which is a huge saving on the new price. Im aiming to run the car for the next 12 years until I retire. My old car had done 159,000 miles so I can't see this being a problem.
The Camry in the Uk is probably classed as a gas guzzler I get about 25 to 30mpg around town & 40mpg+ driving carefully on the motorway. But I think its looks, uniqueness, comfort, quietness, space and reliability easily makes up for it.
Driving the Camry is so easy, the 2,4 engine is generally smooth & quiet, good hifi, cornering better than previous models but still not great. Brakes good but just a little spongy however overall it gets you from A to B in comfort what more do you want.
