My 89 Toy

The reason I purchased My used 1989 Toyota Regular cab 4wd pickup was the fact that the motors in these my not be the most powerful but they are bullet proof , My Stepfather has owned an 81 Toyota 4wd since 82 and has turned the odometer over about 3 1/2 times and its still running, I learned to drive in that truck so I know how they run, there some things that I like about both, My 89 has a bench seat 5 speed transmission and 4Cyl engine and 4 wheel drive its tuff I have put it through alot of mud rock climbing, creek crossing you name it I've probably been through it it has 31 x 10.50 tires on it with a factory lift corners well with the tires. The short wheel base helps when crossing deep ditches my friends 81 Chevy silverado SWB can almost places that this truck but the bumper usually gets hung on things, Its hard to follow this toy, The gauges are well place and have large characters that are easy to read the stereo speakers are lacking in bass only equipped with dash mounted speakers the seats are comfy, its just basically a good al around truck, there are some problems like limited seating but that is with all compact trucks with a manually transmission it has 132000 miles does not smoke, no oil leakage smooth running engine for as many miles, I'm also partial to Chevrolet but have yet to see a chevy motor last as long as a Toyota without oil leaks or smoking. this truck has never had any major engine repair, Nothing runs like a toy.
