It Owns Honda Civics

Date of Review:  Mar 9, 2003
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the celica to anyone looking for cheap transportation with some fun, and as a second car or project car as well.
Review: This review is for the 1985 Toyota Celica GT. It has a 22r-e 2.4L 4 cylinder compared to a 5m-ge 2.8L 6 cylinder in the Celica supra, and a solid rear axle, instead of IRS in the Celica supra. Otherwise, the cars are similar.

Toyota...

Fast & Furious it isn't, but a great car for everything but racing.

Date of Review:  Feb 7, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you can find a rust free specimen, I highly recommend this mild mannered sporty coupe.

1985 Supra --- terrific all-time guy car

Date of Review:  Jan 18, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you love the sound of a great, great engine, and love to drive, an 85 Supra screamer is very hard to beat, all time. Testosterone required.
Review: I have owned a number of Supras from 1979 up to 1988. The '79 was a great, great, fun car for its time. The 1988 Turbo (A/T) was just a speeding ticket waiting to happen. I could not keep it under 90 on the highway -- if you blink in that car you...

1985 supra owner

Date of Review:  Oct 10, 2007
The Bottom Line: its a great car to drive. Its rare to find these cars out there and insurance is cheap. Gas is pretty friendly too.
Review: I always loved the look and feel of the MKII supra. I drove my cousins MKII celicasupra and fell in love with it instantly.

The handling was designed by lotus with both IFS and IRS giving you great stability through corners. Rack and...

Toyota Celica Supra 2.8

Date of Review:  Aug 22, 2007
The Bottom Line: Great car never goes wrong and when it does it really simple to fix. Quick looks great even after 24 odd years.
Review: I Don't know what car the last guy who reviewed drove but it was not a celica supra.

I have just purchased a 1983 L-type thats Luxury for those who dont know. it has the standard 5M-GE motor and it is a British to South Africa import and i...

Toyota's luxury coupe with muscle attitude

Date of Review:  Aug 13, 2003
The Bottom Line: Simply an amazing car. Very reliable, economical (about 26mpg), fun, sporty and luxurious. In my opinion no car of the 80's is as well rounded as the Supra.
Review: Well when I turned 16 I wanted to find me an affordable car that was sporty and have some guts to it. So, at the time not knowing much about cars and being a good American boy I first looked at a 1984 Camero Z28. Well this car had a big ol' V8 and...

Date of Review:  May 12, 2000
Review: I had a 1985 Toyota Celica GT as my very first car and it WAS GREAT!!! It had so much power for a 16-year-old to have, it ran great and from what I hear (from who I sold it to) it still does with minimal tune-ups. Older Celicas are great on...

Garbage

Date of Review:  Jun 9, 2003
The Bottom Line: Worst car I've ever had. I wouldn't let my worst enemy drive this pile of junk.
Review: Where do I start. First, I bought the car from a dealership for $500. I got taken. It leaked every fluid in the book. I finally made it home. Three days later a brake seized up and caught on fire. Luckily it was put out without major damage. I stuck...

1985 Toyota Celica Supra

Date of Review:  Sep 12, 2004
Review: This is a great car from Toyota, far ahead of it's time. I mean what 1980's car can you buy with Air Con and Cruise as standard features?

The engines and transmission are silky smooth and eat the miles without a glitch. Auto's are a real...

Review: I bought my 1989 Toyota Celica GT two years ago this month. I have purchased cars that were older and younger than this one and this one is the only car that has been wonderfully trouble-free. I have only had to have routine maintenance done and I...
