Excellent Delineation

After reading MacBeth, I was delighted to discover that Kurosawa's film, The Throne of Blood, was an adaptation of the Shakespearean tragedy. Throne of Blood kept me on the edge of my seat, and although certain parts, such as the witch's chant and the funeral procession, were lengthy, as a viewer, I did not become inattentive or bored, I merely wondered what was next to come.
The most incredibly mystifying portion of the movie, was the time where Washizu sees Miki's ghost, and jumps up in fright. The portrayal of the true fear in Washizu's eyes correlated to the fear in Macbeth. The second meeting that Washizu had with the witch also offered a great deal of sensation of the doom that Washizu was enduring.
This film would be best suited to those who have read Macbeth, and are interested in quality, maintaining films.
