Don't Judge Too Harshly

Queen of the Damned was, I think, a pretty good movie. Sure it was a little different to the book. But, there is a reason fofr everything. You have to consider the audience's reaction, namely the people who haven't read the book. I've read all the Vampire Chronicles. What matters is that the filmmakers catch the essence of the two books, The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. Lestat de Lioncourt is blonde. Stuart Townsend is brunette. Think about the actor. Stuart is a great actor. He would look bad as a blonde. If you have a chance to look at the DVD, at all the extras, you'll see there's a reason for everything they did. Yes, Akasha is supposed to be white from her age but Aaliyah was a great actress. I stress this: watch the DVD. I admit I was shocked at the inaccuracies but then I heard the filmmakers side of the story. I saw this movie because I thought Stuart was hot and I liked Aaliyha's music. Then after I saw it in February, I read all the Vampire Chronicles and Lives of the Mayfair Witches and all the rest. I'm only a teen so this had to have been a great movie to spur me on to all that. I accepted the movie and you should, too.
