Never Second Best

Anne McCaffrey delivers and well written sci-fi.
Killishandra Ree, is nothing if she's not and over dramatic actress with a love for making a good exit.
The book as a whole does an good job of pulling you into the main characters life and creating in you, the feelings that are being portrayed through out the happenings of Ms. Ree. There are a few points where the main characters attitude toward things is so over dramatic and annoying that you almost loose the feel of the book and must take a breather before going on.
Over all the book is well presented and an enjoyment for readers. One of the unique factors of this book, is that, unlike most sci-fi's, it has almost a feminine feel to it, opening the smaller female audience of sci-fi readers.
I would recommend this to all Anne McCaffrey readers. It's not as enthralling as the Rowan Series, but all three books of the Crystal series are worth a read.
