Not a Bad Little Iron

Date of Review:  May 3, 2007
The Bottom Line: Economical and solid. Has a nice range of features for under $20. Great iron to send with the kids to college.
Review: I had been using the same iron since college, what probably was the basic of the basic models. It did not have the ability to spray water on clothes while ironing, making for a real issue if I had to iron something in a hurry. The options were to...

A good quality iron

Date of Review:  Jan 20, 2007
The Bottom Line: It is a best steam iron I have tried for a price of around $20 and steams well but if you need steam without effort, there are better units.
Review: I bought this iron at Target for about $20 after a Black and Decker failed. One problem I had with the B&D was pouring water into it. Water went into two oval slots in the nose of the iron. If the water goes in too quickly and both slots get...

Cheap, but gets the job done

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2009
The Bottom Line: Great iron for the price and a nice nostalgic nod on upcoming Sunbeam's 100th anniversary
Review: In a modern age of wrinkle-free fabrics and permanent press, I find it amusing (and slightly nostalgic) that a good, old-fashioned iron remains a staple in the American household.

Prior to purchasing this iron, I had been using for years a...

A $27 lesson

Date of Review:  May 26, 2006
Review: This worked great for the first three months I had it. I loved that I could actually see the water level in the chamber (my previous iron didn't have this feature), I loved the burst of steam feature, which was especially handy for my kids' corduroy...
