Sunbeam 2372 MixMaster Series 200 Watts Hand/Stand Mixer

I received this mixer as a gift almost 2 years ago. I've only used it 3 or 4 times. Yesterday, in the middle of a batch of cookie dough, it just died. I turned the mixer off to add more ingredients to the dough, and the mixer refused to start again. I have no idea what the problem is. I assume the motor is fried? I tried different outlets, it has to be the mixer at fault. My dough wasn't especially thick and I hadn't been running it for an especially long time either. This mixer is just junk. I called customer service, but of course the warranty is only one year, so Sunbeam will do nothing for me. I think it is ridiculous for a mixer to die after being used 4 times. I won't buy this brand again.
