Not a Car for the Kids

Pros: Safety features, and road handeling are great.

Cons: Not enough space for child safty seats.

The Bottom Line: I enjoy driving the car by myself. As a family car, not recomended.

I have a 2002 Legacy GT. My wife and I purchased the car due to it's stellar safty ratings. We had our first child in Feb. of this year. The rear seat has a hump in the middle that makes it nearly impossible to mount a child safety seat there which is the safest most recomended location for it. We had to install the seat behind the passenger which is ok if your short. I am six feet tall and am very unconfortable in the passenger seat because it is so far forward. The safety seat that we recomend is the Britax Roundabout. It has fit the best and taken up the least amount of space. Make sure you take it and the car to a licensed safety seat installer!!!!
