The Bottom Line: this is a must see for everyone and I hope i helped you in making your decision!
i was lucky enough to attend a special showing of spiderman on April 30 and I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Even if you don't know anything about spider-man or are his biggest fan there is something for you in this movie.
If you only have heard of spiderman the person and don't know how he got his powers or his family background this movie explains it to you. The beginning is just telling about Aunt May, Uncle Ben and Mary Jane. They show what happened to Uncle Ben and how Spiderman felt guilt. I was shocked about how much it was like the comics.
If you know everything about Spidey and don't just want a movie that summarizes his background this movie is also for you. Eventhough I know almost everything about Spidey I wasn't bored when they summarized his life. It was still interesting because they would pack it with action and some of the best special effects ever. This movie was long enough that they could tell about his life while still having over an hour for just action.
If you would like to know what happens in the beginning read more:
Peter Parker is an average teenage boy attending high school in New York. He writes for the school newspaper and isn't considered that popular with his peers. He is living with his uncle and aunt because his parents died when he was a young age. He has had a crush on his neighbor Mary Jane since he was 6 who also attends the same school. The only problem is she is too 'cool' for him.
One day at school Peter and the rest of his class goes on a field trip to a spider testing lab. There are 15 spiders but they see only 14 in the cages. While Peter is taking a picture for his school newspaper, one of the spiders bites him.
He goes home skipping dinner and goes to bed early since he doesn't feel well. The next day when he wakes up he looks in the mirror. He sees he is loaded with muscles which he had never had before.
I am not gonna spoil it for you....
I would highly reccommend this movie because it has a lot of action, some romance, and comedy. You get to experience a boy turning into a superhero!
If you enjoy this movie you should see X-Men which is another great Marvel movie!
