We use these carts on many of our jobs. They are used to bring in trunks from vans and trucks to a job site that are usually in a hotel or country club. They do come in two sizes. This one is a small version at 29" x 18". I have one in my car most of the time too. The handle folds down easily. There's a foot lock that gets pushed down and the handle folds frontward over the platform. We sometimes put a trunk on top of the folded down handle to hide it away under a table.
We have had many of these hand carts bend into a useless shape because some of the guys insist on dropping a 4-5 hundred pound inflatable ride off the truck bed and on top of them. They simply cannot take abuse.
They can be good friends for a long time if weight is distributed evenly on them. We usually have two to three trunks piled high on them. As long as you can see over it and guide the cart, all is well. This is designed for a 330 pound load. Hey that's even more than I weigh.
The front wheels that are hard are set for straight pushing while the back wheels swivel. They move easily on flush surfaces. The more bumps the harder it is on the cart. There's a rubber bumper that surrounds the full platform and keeps from marring walls and moldings going through doorways.
A rubber-like skin is on the top of the platform area. This keeps things from sliding easily.
We have had these carts for about ten years. The handle and wheels must be assembled and tightened firmly when first delivered. I strongly suggest using lock-tite to keep them from loosening. Loosening seems to be the biggest problem we encounter.
I can recommend these handy carts. I like that I can use them to push a load to its destination and then fold it and carry it back without having to push it the full way again. It weights about 25 pounds. I find that easy to hold in one hand. The fold down handle also allows the hand cart to be stored in my trunk easily and not take too much storage room from our packed vans.
