This has to be one of the best digital cameras on the market today. I just got this camera for Christmas 03' and I am very impressed. The cd-350 is the next evolution of the floppy disk cameras. To me, using cd-rw's is the way to go because memory card technology is still pretty expensive. You can read/write/erase on the cd-rw's just like the memory cards, but at a much cheaper cost. You can store around 81 3.2 megapixel pictures on one cd which is impressive and of course much more(270) if you don't need that high of quality. The video quality, considering this is a camera, is also very impressive, but don't rely on this or any regular digital camera for your video needs. The size of this camera may be a little bulky for some, but it is much smaller than a standard SLR camera and it is surprisingly light for its size. I have no complaints in this area. The only negative I have found so far is that there is a bit of a lag when you are reviewing pictures you have taken, but they prepared for that by giving you a fuzzy preview that then loads the fully detailed picture. The camera has settings for almost anything you would want to shoot. It also has some nice additions like stop-motion type pictures in which the camera will shoot every x seconds. It also comes with a cord so that you can hook the camera directly to an A/V input on your TV/VCR. This means you can watch your pics/movies directly from your camera onto a tv. I have found this to be very cool and it even has a slide show setting for viewing. The cd-350 uses the M series sony rechargable batteries. The 2+ hour lifespan is acceptable, but as with any camera, get a backup. Overall, I love this camera and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade or get into digital imaging.
