And it was great at first, but now we cannot use it any longer because the black ink head is clogged and we went through a cartridge of ink trying to clear it. Epson says it should clean the head in three tries. No way! We wrote to Epson and were finally advised that we take it to a service provider for servicing. The service centers are few and far between. We called New England Systems and were advised that working on this printer at $85/hr. we would be better off getting a new printer since the repair far exceeds the cost of the printer. Epson has filed suit against the ink manufacturers that have allowed non-Epson cartridges be used in their printers. The first thing Epson checks is whether you have used other than Epson inks. I can state for a fact we used only Epson cartridges in this C84 and think now Epson is obscuring the real picture here which is the Epson design, at least in this C84, is faulty. People should think hard and long before they by an Epson product until they can prove they are worthy of your purchase and they actually stand behind their products. So, it is true, for $10 Epson will recycle it for you.
