STR-DA3000ES Worth the money.

I went with Sony because I wanted something that would work well with my Sony 51" HDTV. I owned a STR-DE895 that was purchased at Best Luy for $325.00 about 8 months ago.
Speakers are Yamaha's NS-555,NS-333,and NS-C444 rated at 100watts & 6 ohms also a Veledyne 12" sub. I was happy watching movies with it however the music didn't seem as rich as my retired Technics SA-800 receiver so I decided to upgrade.
Enter the Sony STR-DA3000ES. The difference was mind bending. Suddenly I went from a Mo-ped to a Super Glide,
a VW to a Viper, The sound was clean, crisp, and well defined. The musical side of the receiver brought the Yamaha's to life, it's like a different set of speakers.
On the theater side I went from hearing the surround sound to feeling the sound. This is the best sounding receiver I have ever heard, the sound quality reminded me of my old Sansui G-9000 brought home from Viet-Nam.(lost it to water damage damn) I found it for less than $600 bucks on-line.
In my opinion you will not go wrong with this unit.
