Author's Review

I bought this TV last week, and it's been on ever since. I brought it home from Walmart, carried it into the room, and within 60-90 minutes, i had it screwed into it's stand and plugged in and working.  The TV is relatively light, much lighter than my old picture tube TV that this replaced.  I don't have cable, and this is my first TV that gets digital channels, which is a treat getting the extra channels.
The old analog channels were snowy, and the new ones look much clearer.
When the TV first starts, it allows you to scan through all the channels, and sets up the local stations.  That helps, because it finds all the digital channels. Then, the remote menu lets me hide the non-digital channels.
This 40" Sony Bravia retails for $1400. I got it on sale at Walmart for $900.
