You only get one set of teeth!

This is a little graphic, but I am one of those people who used to do a quick brushing of my teeth in the morning before going out for the day, and then again at night before going to bed. I am also one of those people who have had lots of visits to the dentist because of cavities and bleeding gums.

A few years ago, my dentist suggested getting a Sonicare unit. I realized I needed to do something different, something better to improve dental hygiene. I paid the bucks, and bought the unit.

I was surprised at how different my gums felt after being brushed with this unit. It actually took another trip to the dental hygienist to learn how to use the Sonicare correctly and how to maximize its benefits for me. I also learned that the standard brush that comes with the unit was too large for me. Thank goodness they also offer a compact brush head.

One trick is to remember to change the brush heads every six months or so. Usually you can find some coupon on the internet that will give you $5 or $10 off the purchase of a dual pack.

My teeth are cleaner. My gums stopped bleeding. If this unit had been around when I was a kid, I genuinely think I would have a lot fewer cavities.
