The Bottom Line: Do your homework before buying this product.
Review: I purchased this product from Fry's Electronics (Outpost.com on the internet). I picked it because it had the 12,000 BTU output and was normally priced at $549.00, but was on sale for $499.99 with a $50 rebate. Thinking that you get what you pay...

Review: Cools our large living- and family room without problems - but not enough for whole house.
Bulky but easy to hook up exhaust ducts - but that's what you get at 12000 BTU
I've read the other reviews and don't agree, I'm very happy with this A/C...

Soleus LX-120 got me through one summer only

Review: We bought this to get us through the heat waves here in Northern CA. It cooled the bedroom beautifully for about 2 months. Then started to rattle. It got really LOUD! It sounded like something was coming apart inside. We did not want to send it back...

Review: Didn't cool even 1 room adequately.
Broke after 1 year, displaying an E4 error message. Which means it was leaking refrigerant.
It took weeks to actually get anybody to respond and then I got a lot of excuses about how the customer service...

Can't cool even one room!

Review: I thought this 12,000 BTU AC unit would be enough to cool a 12x10 room but it did not. Not only did it not cool (unless you count holding your face directly in front of it) but it leaks water and is VERY loud.

The Monstrous hoses make this...
