Author's Review
Ok, here comes my a revision to my first posting to help answer some of the questions I might have missed.
I just bought this magazine for the first time this month. I was trully amazed at the information provided within. Not only where the articles interesting and exciting, but they were also very informative. This is mostly a magazine aimed at personal consumers, hoping to enhance their financial experiences, as well as people who like to invest in the stock market/mutual funds. It isn't really for the stockbroker, rather the guy next door trying to get ahead of the game.
This mag also has a yearly subscription fee of $15.00, which I think will pay itself off in no time at all. I myself am just in the process of subscribing to the magazine.
Just to give an example of an article that will pay my subscription, how to get long distance calls for free through the internet. They described how to do PC-to-phone calls, compared many of the companies that provide this service. Considering my monthly bill, well, the subscription will be paid within one month, and this is only one example...
The magazine also includes regular columns regarding their version of a model portfolios, some sector trends, some stock analysis', you're basic run of the mill stock related information. What set it aside though is the way in which the information is passed on to you. It definetely makes you think a little, makes you re-visit certain stocks that you might have overlooked. It also has at the end of the mag a real-life index page (if you wanted the cost all to yourself, 100%), which is a rather interesting (and humourous) comparison of prices for commodities and material objects ranging from a $16 million cruide ship to a novel for a cruise vacation.
To be honest, this one was a page turner for me, cover to cover. My favorite part of the magazine, if you can call it a part, is the concept of saving you money on some of your regular expenses (such as the long distance article mentionned above). I must say it's been a while since a magazine got me to subscribe within one read, but this one sure did!!!
