Shrek The Third --- One more trek to Far, Far, Away with Dreamworks

The Bottom Line: With subject material that could have been much better, this film failed to entertain and simply does not get my recommendation.
Review: It's time to put a fork in this franchise, because it is basically done. The originality of the original film was already starting to wain when it came to the sequel, but now with Shrek The Third the story has lost that feeling of overall enjoyment...

An Ogre Loses His Teeth

The Bottom Line: If fatherhood causes someone to lose their sense of humor, I'm in a heap o' crap.
Review: On the days when I work downtown I'm out of the house for a pretty good chunk of time. I leave my home at 7 a.m. and if I'm lucky I get back at 7 p.m.
Thankfully, my work allows me to do two days a week here at the house. Still, I begrudge...

Disappointing This Shrek Fan but Alright for Kids, Shrek the Third

The Bottom Line: Buy it for the kids if you like but Shrek is no longer "fun for the whole family", at least this slightly older viewer was disappointed
Review: You know it happens every time…you watch a movie, you love it, then you just can't resist the first several sequels that come out. It seems like anymore - be it from a flooded market where so many works just get buried as soon as they come out...

It's not easy being green (or three)

The Bottom Line: As "three-quels" go, not too painful
Review: Shrek the Third fits about midway between the previous two entries -- not as original and endearing as the 2001 original, but miles ahead of the lackadaisical Shrek 2. For a "three-quel" movie, that might be about the best you can ask for.

Shrek the Third - Critics seem to hate it but I love it

The Bottom Line: I think it's good for all ages, but I had to chose from the categories. Highly recommend it.
Review: I went to see Shrek the Third the weekend it opened with my fifteen year old daughter, but also plan on buying the DVD, so I am submitting this for a DVD review. We have seen the first two movies on DVD.
