So far, So good.

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product based on past experience with the company's products, and the ease of setup and use for this one as compared with the old one.
We had such a good experience with our previous Sharp microwave, that we wanted to buy another Sharp.
This one is larger and more powerful than the venerable 14-years-old-and-still-works Carousel II that we had.
We have not been disappointed yet.
The new one is wonderful. Very roomy, can fit a large dish easily, and the preset defrost and popcorn features work extremely well.
The only problem with it is that it has 300 watts more cooking power than our previous oven, so I have to adapt cooking times accordingly. Most microwave cookbooks that have been around awhile, like my old Betty Crocker, were meant for use with 500-700 watt ovens. With this one being a 1200 watt, I have to shorten cooking times and lower power settings. It takes a bit of trial and error, but it works out fine in the end.
The preset defrost and reheat, etc. features are very nice, and seem to work with no burnt popcorn, and no "pre-cooked" ground meat when defrosting. You just have to read the manual and set your times according to what they tell you.
It does make a "buzzing" or vibrating sound when the magnetron is engaged. I have an email in to Sharp customer support, but I bet it is just noisier than the old one because it is larger, and the sheet metal case is thinner than the previous ones. (Less noise dampening.)
All in all, I would recommend it. If it lasts even half as long as the old one, we will be more than satisfied.
