Exactly what you'd expect

I use this part in my Canon PowerShot S230 digital camera. The camera is 3.2 megapixels. On top quality settings, the card holds 308 pictures. It's big enough to set the quality to max (in case you may want an 8x10) and still take plenty of pictures.

It can hold over 5,000 pictures on low resolution.

If you use it in a PDA, it holds a correspondingly high number files. It's not iPod territory, but a PDA equipped with one of these makes a pretty credible mp3 player.

I haven't used other manufacturers' 512 MB cards, so I can't compare. This card does what I expected it to do with no problems or quirks. It's just a bigger version of the smaller-capacity card that came with your camera.
