Pros:  Good picture and sound quality, easy to set up, lots of inputs.

Cons:  Poor build quality - dead after 5 weeks.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

I bought this TV to use as the secondary and for use with a game system. The price was reasonable, especially versus a similar sized flat panel. I'm not going to that much money for a TV.

After 5 weeks it stopped working. Until then the picture and sound quality were fine. I liked all the inputs. It's easy to connect DVD, VCR & game system. I contacted Samsung support and spoke with the designated local shop. The shop said I could be without a TV for *weeks*, depending on what is wrong and if they can get parts.

I will follow up as the saga continues.

Update: The folks at Circuit City were great! They normally have a 30-day replacement policy. I had the TV for 40 days. The store manager was still willing to replace it. Especially after reading the reviews here, I bought the 5-year protection plan. I normally don't go for extended service agreements, but I think it's a good idea for this unit.

By the way, the 'twiddle' sound the TV makes when turning it off and on can be turned off. It's buried in the menu, under 'On/Off Alert', I think.
