Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-Ray Player

Very unhappy with this product! I upgraded the firmware once before when I kept getting the "no disc" error on any DVD other than a BluRay disc. The upgrade fixed it. It played all discs up until 5 days ago, then started with the same error on regular DVDs. I upgraded the latest firmware again, downloaded it again, tried it twice, but even after the upgrade, it still is giving the "no disc" error. I finally unplugged it and have switched back to our Sony HDMI DVD player. It shouldn't be this hard to just watch a DVD. I'm very unhappy with the product. I don't think you should have to be a computer engineer to keep the thing going.  I just want to plug the thing in and have it work. Also it over heats and then starts skipping. We have had to put cold packs underneath it to get through most movies.
