Stunning Beauty

The Bottom Line: Pay a little more and get a great player with lots of features.
We were in the market for a portable DVD player and after some research settled on the Samsung DVD-L300.
Having just used this device on a recent trip with my family, I can tell you that the DVD player performed very well and the quality of the video and audio were exceptional.
I really liked how quickly the unit started - I was expecting it to boot up like a laptop but it was always ready to go.
Surprisingly, the DVD player even played all of my copies that were burned to DVD+R media, even though the documentation that came with the device didn't specify its support for this type. This saved my hours (and frustration) of having to re-burn copies to DVD-R's.
Although the player was primarily used by my daughter to watch kiddy shows, I did pop in a 'Star Wars' video and watched the "pod racing" scene. Much to my delight, the video and audio were excellent...and the sound was even better when I plugged in my Bose headphones into one of the two headphone jacks.
And at around five pounds, this device was very light and not at all difficult to carry around.
To top it all off, the player simply looks great...it is silver and has a really cool appearance.
I'd highly recommend this DVD Player.
