Author's Review
My experience:
I was looking for a stroller that was not too big (like the Graco ones) and not too small (like the horrible umbrella ones), but one sort of inbetween. I wanted it lightweight enough to fit in small places like at the mall, or travelling. Our jogging stroller was for exactly that: walking/exercising, and hiking/jogging but not really great because it's so bulky, for stores and travelling. Umbrella strollers can be horrible b/c they are just too lightweight and have no storage compartments. If you try to put your coat on the back of an umbrella stroller, it has the potential to flip over. So I did my research and came up with this Safety First Acella LX stroller in blue. First off, the color is adorable, and works well for our 9-month old baby boy.
Features:
Folds nicely, stands alone when folded.
Price is good.
Sturdy, had big, oversized basket for holding stuff in bottom (and will not drag when you use it).
Comes with child tray with cup holder (very convenient)
Add the matching carseat and you can have a stroller travel system
Trays are removable
Parent tray attached, and is very useful
One-handed folding
Weight is light
Maneuvers well
Has Brakes
Reclines into two positions, has foot holder for baby's feet (when they get older)
Beautiful design with black, blue (not really navy in color as stated), greys, and a brushed silver metal.
Sturdy so no "flipping" over with things being carried on the back of stroller
Can easily be used for an infant up to 5 years old.
Seems comfortable as well for my baby
Where can you find these strollers and how much?
Amazon.com, and Target. Expect to pay around 65$
Overall:
Great price for a great, lightweight stroller. Works well in malls, fits into small car trunks, folds nicely, stands alone. Feels sturdy.
Downsides:
Potential to pinch fingers while folding or opening, seat does not lie all the way back for sleeping babies.
All cup holders are ridiculously small.
Bottom line: I recommend it as a lightweight stroller to use for travelling and shopping. Throw out your umbrella stroller.
