a very fast car
Pros:
Mid-speed (30-70) punch like a bat out of Hell. Seats.Style.
Cons:
a few rattles and squeeks. Not as solid as my Jag.
The Bottom Line:
The Aero is a TREMENDOUS value.

Author's Review
I've now logged over 5K miles on my 2006 9-3 Aero (V6 Turbo), and I have to say it's one of the most fun cars to drive that I've ever owned (Jag, BMW and VW's).
First thing I would recommend for any new owner do - sign up for the FREE Aero Driving Academy at Road Atlanta. The 2 day driving experience is free, but you do have to pay for your own trnasportation and hotel. But, after two days of driving the car to it's limits, you will know fully what this car is capable of doing.
I disagree with one of the points made by "scooterlibby" (in a previous review), regarding top speed. This car, in US specs, is rated for 150 mph+. I've personally had it up to 130 mph, and it was still pulling strong, so I have absolutely NO doubt that it will reach 150 mph. Not many (if any) $30K - $40K) sedans can make this claim. I assume it is because of the aerodynamics of the car, and the grearing in 6th gear?
The car is very quiet at typical highway speeds (~ 70mph), and the driver's seat is unsurpassed in comfort. Not in support, but in comfort. I've owned hJags and BMW's, and their seats are horrible compared to these seats.
Finally, I learned a lot about how this car can handle when at the Aero Academy. WOW. No clue how it does on the skid pad tests, etc, but extemely well behaved and responsive in high speed (panic) maneuvering. They did a lot of this at the Aero school, and I never felt I was loosing the car. It did what I asked it to do...
