Rock Manager is not a very popular game, why? I don't know, but it should be! Rock Manager is probably one of the BEST simulation game i ever had the chance to play. Okay, in Rock Manager, you are a manager of music bands (Not only Rock bands) and you have to buy the song's licenses, record the songs in the best studios you can pay (Wich is one of the best feature in the game), find a label for you band, make publicity with the radio, the newspapers, the CD's Stores and the TV channels. You will have to book their shows, and if they are good, maybe you will have to book a world tour (Or at least a big national one). About the bands, if you play the "Story" part, you will have to take control of the band they give you and do what they want you to do. It's cool, but if you want you can go, your way. In the sandbox mode you do what you want. Choose band's members (and what they play), but you will have to keep them happy. In fact, Rock Manager is one of the best, if it's not the best, Simulation Game. It's maybe not the most popular, but it still very good! The bad points, there is not enough sample or song's licenses.
