To be honest, I was never really a big Mariah fan. I mean, I knew some of her songs but just because they were on the radio. I never purchased one of her CD's until a few months ago.
*Heartbreaker* was all over the radio stations, how could you not know and love that song. For some reason, I just would love to hear that song on the radio and decided that I had to have a copy of it all to myself so I went and got the CD (Rainbow).
I had no idea what the entire CD would sound like, because I really wasn't a fan of hers. It begins with her hit song *Heartbreaker* featuring Jay-Z,so when I popped it in the CD player, I loved it already.
The next song is *Can't take that away from me*. My goodness. . .what a beautiful song. . .it is a song about how you should not let anyone "bring you down''. It's very inspirational. She goes onto to explain that if you have something in you and you believe in it that no one, no matter what, can take that away from you no matter how hard they try.
The next song that I enjoyed was number 9 *Against All Odds*(take a look at me now). This was originally sung by Phil Collins but Mariah does the song much better justice.
Another favorite of mine is *Crybaby*. This is a song about her troubles after breaking up with her boyfriend and how she still cries over him. Snoop Dogg features a small verse in the song giving it a likable diversity.
The last song on the album is *Thank God I Found You*, featuring Joe and 98 Degrees. A very touching song that I am sure you have heard.
The rest of the songs on the album are all similar but very unique as well. I would recommend anyone who loves R&B to get this album. It has become one of my favorite CD's and is just very pleasing to listen to.
