I have had the phone system for about 1 month. This morning I can receive calls (they ring) but I cannot answer. I also cannot get a dial tone. I plug another phone into the same outlet and it works fine. I call RCA Tech Support, get connected in about 2 minutes. Tech is obviously from another country but speaks English o.k. The Tech starts asking for all of my personal information, I indicated to her that this was not the first time I had called, and said that she may already have me in the system. She ask me for the last log number I was given for the last time I called (this is the only they can look me up, not a good system). I gave her the rest of my information and we finally started on attempting to correct the problem which I called about in the first place. I was asked all the typical questions had I turned off the phone and turned it back on, had I tested the same jack with another phone. So the solution is to totally reset the phone system, and then I get to be the lucky guy to reprogram the entire phone system again. I had indicated that this was a feature rich phone system, and is there a way to save all settings somewhere so I would not have to re-program the system again. I ask her if I could speak to someone very familiar with this specific phone system, and I have been on hold for about 15 minutes. If I ever get a solution I will post.
