Put up or be shut up!

Despite what some say, I thought Sharon Stone gave a good performance in this one. She was sexy, determined, and vengeful. Right up her ally. And please, no one can deny the fact that Gene Hackman can act, good guy or bad, he's always great.
I really liked this movie and hope they start making more westerns now. There just aren't enough.
The Quick and the Dead is all about the fastest gun, the man who rules the town, and the people who try to shoot him, kill him and out do him. But Sharon has a little more grudges than most, she has a reason to win this one. A good
reason, I might add. The story to this is good, and Hackman really gets into his role here.
I think Sharon did a bang up job and I must give her due.
I'm not one of her biggest fans, but she did a better job of
acting here than in most I've seen her in. Thank God they
didn't let her play her regular kind of character.
