The Bottom Line: I recommend this unit if you often find yourself in different vehicles, motorcycles, or even boats. Its portability and versatility make the Quest a winner.

Garmin Quest Portable GPS Unit -- Great!

Date of Review:  Dec 11, 2004
The Bottom Line: This is a very well designed and very practical. Very small but still usable. It will show you the way and talk you along your route. I recommend it highly.
Review:
What makes the Quest worth writing about is that it really works; it does what you expect it to do and more. And the great software and well designed hardware package is combined into a tool/gadget/instrument (take your pick) that is truly...

A great little unit!

Date of Review:  Oct 5, 2005
The Bottom Line: A great little unit for the price with TONS of information.
Review: As a Professional Land Surveyor, GPS is something I have studied in some detail. I wanted a unit that would guide me from job to job instead of having a map on my lap and blowing all around while I'm driving. The Garmin quest II is ideal for that...

Slow, stubborn and inaccurate... what more could you want?

Date of Review:  Jun 12, 2007
The Bottom Line: Buy another unit because there are a lot better choices.
Review: First the slowness: When I first received the Quest 2, I thought it was a little slow. Now I know it is. Route calculation could be measured with a sundial. When you are off route and it needs to recalculate, you often get lost again since it takes...

Never Ask For Directions Again

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2005
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this product. Based on the price and the overall user-friendly features of this amazing technology, you can't miss.
Review: While you are driving, haven't you always wanted someone to tell you exactly when to turn, exactly what time you are going to arrive, help you around traffic jams, and tell you where the closest ATM, Restaurant, or gas station is?

I have...

Dual-purpose GPS

Date of Review:  Oct 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: One of, if not the, best multi-purpose car/boat/hiking GPS receiver.
Review: I've had a Garmin GPS-V for a long time and thought it was a very nice compromise between being big enough for car navigation and small enough for hiking. However, there were a couple of weaknesses in the GPS-V I'd hoped Garmin would fix. One was...

I never thought would buy something I saw in an airline magazine!

Date of Review:  Nov 8, 2004
The Bottom Line: I didn't think they would have something to replace my beloved GPS V for such a good price. You won't regret buying this.
Review: Normally I sleep while flying. Recently, I had too much caffeine and started looking through the Southwest Airlines magazine. They had a list of indispensable items that are need for business travelers. One of them was a hand crank phone charger...

Comfortable, Versatile, Good for all sizes of Moms

Date of Review:  Feb 25, 2008
The Bottom Line: I LOVE to wrap my babies. It takes a little time to learn how, but it is far superior to back pack carriers in comfort, versatility, style, and wash-ability.
Review: My moby wrap experience started when I saw my neighbor carrying her baby in one. I'd never seen one before & I chased her down to find out more. It is comfortable and ergonomic for both the mother and baby. I've now tried both the original moby wrap...

Lots of features for the price compared to their more costly 2600 series.

Date of Review:  Nov 22, 2004
The Bottom Line: Aside from the small memory (for me in a large state) and internal battery, this is a very nice unit that works well.
Review: For something that can fit in your pocket, this little thing does a lot. Nice that you can take it off the mount and use it for navigating out of the car while running on is internal battery. The display is very bright when the backlight is on (when...

An amazingly small vehicular navigator

Date of Review:  Nov 6, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you travel a lot or need the unit as a portable AND a mobile unit and is waterproof, then this is a good choice.
Review: I love gadgets and I have specific affinity for high-tech equipment. For some reason I've been playing with many different GPS units lately (in spite of a recent head-on collision between one of my motorcycles and a car traveling in the other...
