With a quick FLip you'll stop wishing you had a video camera.

After completing two years of college my Uncle gave me a FLip video Ultra Series camera. At first I was apprehensive because I did not really have a desire to be out on the town with a video camera. I was quite content with my regular digital camera. However, I opened the box I became quickly intrigued with this gadget. I did not even look at the Quickstart guide because the buttons on the camera are so self explanatory. I now bring this camera everywhere and capture clips where ever I am.

Although I grew up using computers and a lot of other technological devices, I am always intimidated by new gadgets. This FLip video was so simple I have so much fun using it everyday! And since my family moved to another state I can easily e-mail them video updates using my FLip video. My mom loves to see the clips!

There are only four buttons on the back and are so simple to use. There's a play button on the left, a red circle recording button, a square button that has a + at the top and a - on the bottom for zooming in and out, and arrows on the side for searching videos, the fourth button has a trash can on it, which obviously implies delete. There is also a tripod mount on the bottom. Like I said, everything is so user friendly.

On the right side there is a on off slide button which makes it pretty much impossible to accidentally have the camera turn on in your bag or pocket.

On the other side of the camera there is another slide button that allows the USB connector to come out. This is definitely my favorite characteristic of this camera. When I want to upload the video to my computer I don't have to search for a cable since the USB is already attached and easily accessible. It plugs in just like flash drive.

The other amazing feature about this camera is that the software is in the hardware! I do not have extra CD's to worry about. I can upload my video to any computer as long as I have my camera with me. I can also connect the camera directly to the TV.

The software that comes with the camera is another user friendly program. It helps organize the video. It also gives you the options to mix and meld videos. I can also add music, modify the effects that makes it seem very professional, but it is so simple. This software is not overwhelming at all. I promise, you do not have to be tech-savvy to use this great gadget.

Also, the quality of video is pretty decent for as small as it is. The picture is quite clear and the audio is great.

This camera can record up to 60 minutes and it only requires two AA batteries. I have had my camera for four months now use it at least three times a week and I have not had to change out the batteries yet.

My roommate is a journalism major and she has borrowed it for her interviews. This camera has come in handy so many times. I love and recommend this camera to anyone!
