This is a great alternative!

The Bottom Line:  Try this and you'll never go back to buying cigarettes at the store again
I know. I KNOW! I shouldn't smoke. The economy is terrible, so I should save my money for more important things. Its terrible for my health and it will probably eventually kill me...
That said, I do smoke. I was hooked at an early age, and I am stuck unless I really want to endure the agony of quitting...and right at the moment, I don't.
So, what is a down-on-her-luck, single mom, student, cigarette-smoking individual to do? Gas and a pack of smokes for the day cost me twenty bucks if I'm being conservative!
Enter the Premier Supermatic Cigarette Machine!
The machine itself costs about 60 bucks at your local tobacco store. The tobacco to make about a carton's worth of cigarettes costs nine dollars. The "tubes" which are an empty cigarette paper pre-rolled with a filter on it, are under three dollars, depending upon where you shop.
So, after the initial cost of the machine, that takes a carton of smokes to a grand total of around twelve dollars and some-odd cents. Definitely beats over fifty bucks for generics!
The machine is simple to use. Insert the tube into a little end protruding out of the machine. Fill the little trough with tobacco. Turn the handle, thus sliding the tobacco into the tube, creating a perfectly rolled, perfectly packed cigarette every single time! This isn't at all like the sliding rollers. That variety of roller, in my opinion, is a piece of junk. They pop tubes out half-rolled, split the tubes, and never seem to have a properly filled tube, even when you do succeed at rolling a smoke. They take forever and it seems like you only actually have a rolled cigarette maybe half of your attempts. With this rolling machine, I have never had a bad cigarette or a failed attempt.
The premier tobacco that is intended for the machine rolls great and doesn't taste like a yucky, generic smoke. (I have had some pretty nasty make-your-owns from other people, and these seem just like what you'd buy pre-made.) If you want to buy another brand to roll, I would suggest Bugler. Its about the right mostiure and texture. Drum is too wet. Top is too dry and thin. Bugler or Premier are just about right!
It only takes me about five minutes to roll a pack's worth of cigarettes. I just sit there while I am watching tv and roll out a couple of packs. The one and only drawback I have found (when compared with pre-made cigarettes) is that while they are placed in a pack, a little of the tobacco may fall out. I just put my smokes in an empty sotre-bought pack upside down and have no problems at all!
